so yeah, i got a 5D a long time ago, and sold it for a 1DII. I thought maybe there was more to life than full-frame sensors and killer ISO3200.





yeah, i was wrong.

anyways, i sold the 1DII, 16-35LmkII, 135L, and all my little EOS accessories, and dropped about $1400 on a Nikon film kit:

FE2
16mm F2.8 AIS fisheye
20mm F2.8 AF-D
35mm F1.4 AIS
50mm F1.4 AIS
105mm F1.8 AIS

this kit kicks ass, and it's small and light. And all that cost as much as my 16-35mkII. I've been taking lots and lots of pics with it, and developing lots of film.
I'm sorry for not updating DA any in a long time, and other than the occasional journal i probably won't-
sorry.

I'm not sure exactly when i'll start shooting a lot of digital again, as i don't have my own DSLR. I'll probably get another 5D in January, and just keep using these great Nikon lenses. I think i'm going to sell the 20mm, it's just not fun enough for me.



Other than that, i've only got ~64 more days in South Korea. It's been an interesting ~300 so far... The hardest part (by far) has been being away from my wife, Ashley, but it was great when she came over here in July. On December 20th, i'll be flying out of Seoul, probably to not come back to Korea for a long time. Hopefully, it'll be the last time i'm away from my wife for a long lonnnnnnnnng time. I think i've made the best of it- a personal goal i had, coming over here, was to work on my street photography and photojournalism style and approach- i think i've come a long way, and grown a lot as a photographer.
We'll spend ~2 weeks in Texas in late December, then off to Okinawa- for 3 awesome years.
I can't even begin to describe how thankful i am that things are finally coming together for me and Ashley- I couldn't think of anywhere i'd rather be, and anybody i'd rather be there with. It's probably going to be the best 3 years of our lives (together- awwww), and it's just so close at this point. 3 Months from now i'll have the Pacific Ocean on one side of me, and the East China Sea on the other.

that's pretty much all i have to say about that.
